A Shocking Bit of News

I have watched the debate over homosexual marriage with increasing disgust. I am neither for or against homosexual marriage but I find the argument against it is extremely nauseating. The argument used is that it will destroy the "traditional family."
I have a shocking bit of news for everyone. One can establish a family without marriage. Gasp! I know horrendously shocking, isn't it. Even more shocking is that it will always take a man and a woman to naturally have children even if (due to the wonders of modern medicine) one or both of them is not there at conception, just as long as they have left their contribution to be used. But just because a man and a woman are populating the earth it does not mean they will be a family. Yes, I know, biologically they will be related therefore being a family. Uh, yeah. Unfortunately, it takes more than a biological connection to make a true family. A true family has an emotional connection. It is that emotional connection that is of supreme importance. Otherwise you just have a bunch of strangers living together only connected by blood. Perhaps instead of saying it is an attack on the traditional family we should call it an attack on the natural family. As far as marriage is concerned it is going to have little impact on establishing a family if that emotional connection/bond is not there. There are some out there (I am sure) that have families made up of many members that are not biologically related that are stronger than the ones that are. Can anyone tell me why that is? There are also families out there with a man and a woman having and loving their children and never married. How is that possible? There are families out there where there are multiple spouses of one gender or another. Where do they fit in?

Furthermore, I believe the entire homosexual marriage issue to be a smokescreen cleverly instigated by those that don't want you to see what they are doing to truly destroy the family. And at the same time they are also going to use it to their advantage because once they can get what constitutes and does not constitute a family legislated then they have the power to legislate the family out of existence and we all become cattle to be bred for the purposes of providing workers to support those in power.

I find it sad that those fighting the homosexual marriage issue the hardest are also doing the most harm to that which they are trying to protect and they are oblivious to this fact. The insidiousness that is doing the most damage to the family permeates their very lives.
